There are some scholarships that are better than others. Some scholarships only cover living expenses or provides partial grants while some only cover tuition fee. However, there are scholarship programs that cover both tuition and living expenses, as well as travel costs, book allowances, and insurance, among other things. Most, if not all, of what you need to complete your education abroad is covered by fully financed scholarships. In this list, full scholarships are those that cover both tuition and living expenses.

Foreign Student Program of the Fulbright Foundation (USA) 

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program offers significant scholarships to international students who want to study for a Master’s or PhD in the United States. Tuition, flights, a living stipend, and health insurance, among other things, are usually covered by the award. The Fulbright program covers the cost of the studies for the entire time. 

Chevening Scholarships are offered to outstanding scholars with leadership potential by the UK government’s global scholarship program. The majority of awards are for a one-year Master’s program. The majority of Chevening Scholarships provide tuition, a fixed-rate living stipend (for one person), an economy class return flight to the UK, and supplementary funds to cover necessary expenses.

Excellence Awards from the Swiss Government (Switzerland) 

Graduates from various fields can apply for Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships to pursue doctorate or postdoctoral research at one of the country’s public universities or authorized institutions. 

The scholarship pays for a monthly stipend, as well as tuition, health insurance, and lodging. 

International Students are eligible to apply for Swedish scholarships (Sweden) 

The Swedish Institute offers scholarships to highly qualified overseas students from poor countries who wish to study full-time at Swedish universities. 

Tuition, living expenses, a small travel allowance, and insurance are all covered by the scholarship.

Masters Scholarships and VLIR-UOS Training (Belgium) 

VLIR-UOS provides scholarships to students from developing nations in Asia, Africa, and Latin America who wish to study development in Belgian universities. Tuition, housing, stipends, travel expenses, and other program-related expenses are fully covered by the scholarships. 

Scholarships from the Gates Foundation for Cambridge (UK) 

The Gates Cambridge Scholarships cover the entire cost of graduate study and research at the University of Cambridge in any discipline. All international students from throughout the world are eligible for the scholarships. The complete cost of studying at Cambridge is covered by a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, which includes university fees, maintenance allowances, travel, and a stipend for dependents.

The University of Oxford offers Clarendon Scholarships (UK) 

The Clarendon Scholarship Fund is a prestigious graduate scholarship initiative at the University of Oxford that awards roughly 140 new scholarships each year to qualified graduate students (including overseas students). 

Clarendon Scholarships are awarded at the graduate level at the University of Oxford on the basis of academic performance and promise in all degree-bearing areas. 

The scholarships include a significant grant for living expenses as well as complete tuition and college fees. 

International Scholarships from Warwick University’s Chancellor (UK) 

Every year, the Warwick Graduate School provides approximately 25 Chancellor’s Overseas Scholarships to the best international PhD candidates. Students of any nationality and from any discipline at Warwick are eligible to apply for the scholarships. Full payment of abroad tuition is included in the scholarships.

Westminster offers full international scholarships (UK) 

The University of Westminster offers scholarships to students from poor countries who wish to study in the United Kingdom and complete a full-time Undergraduate degree in any discipline at Westminster. The scholarship covers full tuition exemptions, accommodation, living expenses, and flights to and from London. 

Scholarships for international students at the University of Sydney 

The University of Sydney International Research Scholarship is open to candidates who are eligible to study a Postgraduate Research Degree or a Master’s by Research degree at the University of Sydney (USydIS). 

The USydIS will fund tuition and living expenses for up to three years.

High Potential Scholarships at Maastricht University (Netherlands) 

The UM Scholarship Fund offers High Potential Scholarships to bright students from outside the European Economic Area who wish to pursue a master’s degree at UM. 

Tuition, living expenses, visa fees, and insurance are all included in the scholarships. 

Scholarships for outstanding students at TU Delft (Netherlands) 

International students can apply for a number of scholarships at Delft University of Technology. One of these initiatives is the Justus and Louise van Effen scholarship, which aims to provide financial assistance to outstanding overseas MSc students who aspire to study at TU Delft. The award is a complete scholarship, meaning it covers both tuition and a monthly living stipend.

University of Groningen’s Erik Bleumink Scholarships (Netherlands) 

Scholarships from the Erik Bleumink Fund are typically provided for any one-year or two-year Master’s degree program at the University of Groningen. 

The scholarship covers tuition, as well as overseas travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance expenditures. 

Scholarships for Outstanding Achievement in Amsterdam (Netherlands) 

The Amsterdam Excellence Scholarships (AES) provide financial assistance to exceptional students from outside the European Union who wish to pursue qualified Master’s programs at the University of Amsterdam. 

The AES is a €25,000 full scholarship that covers both tuition and living costs.

Master’s Scholarship Program at the ETH Zurich (Switzerland) 

Excellent overseas students who aspire to pursue a Master’s degree at ETH Zurich are supported by the university. The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) includes a living and study grant (CHF 11,000 per semester) as well as a tuition price remission. 

University of British Columbia (Canada) offers bachelor’s scholarships to talented international secondary and post-secondary students from all around the world. Winners of the International Leader of Tomorrow Reward receive a monetary award that is proportional to their financial need, as determined by the tuition cost, , living expenses, and fees minus the financial contribution the student and their family can raise annually toward these expenses.
